Construction activities for the sewer main replacement project will continue along First Street for the next three weeks. Work includes replacing the sewer main, installing manholes, and connecting sewer laterals. The contractor plans to complete the street overlay along Second Street in early March.
Traffic control measures will be in place to guide vehicles through or around the construction zone. Please use caution when driving through the work zone and be aware of traffic control devices.

Construction activities to replace sewer pipes have begun along Second Street between Alameda Boulevard and D Avenue. The work will continue through December 2024.
The city has planned construction to minimize inconveniences as much as possible and is asking community members to use extra caution in the construction area. Traffic control measures will be in place to navigate drivers around the construction zone.

The City will begin construction of a sewer main replacement project in late September. The City contractor, Palm Engineering, Inc will work along these streets:
First Street from D Avenue to Alameda Blvd
Second Street from D Avenue to Alameda Blvd
Strand Way from Rendova Road towards Glorietta Bay Park
Traffic control measures will be deployed to navigate traffic through or detour around the construction zones. Motorists should use caution when driving through the work zone and be aware of the traffic control devices. Residents living adjacent to work areas will be notified via door hangers as the construction nears their area and will include contact information for questions or concerns.
