Project Update July 15, 2024

The construction team has made great progress on the Aquatics Center Pool project. The pools’ tile installation has been finished and the plaster installation started on July 12 and was completed on July 13. Once the plaster installation has been completed, crews will immediately start filling both of the pools. The project is nearing the end of construction; however, there are still a number of steps that need to occur prior to reopening the pool.

The Project Team anticipates another five to six weeks of work to:

• allow for the pool conditioning
• clearing of the plaster dust prior to restarting the pools’ heaters
• and time to train the Aquatics staff.

The Aquatics Project team will continue to keep the community updated on the progress and the reopening schedule in the weeks ahead.
