Project Update June 12, 2024

UPDATE: June 26, 2024: The pool plaster application has been rescheduled to July 12 and 13.

June 12, 2024: Construction is more than halfway through the Aquatics Center Pool Improvement Project. The crews have completed the concrete deck placement around the pool and extensive tile installation is still ongoing. This week the pool gutters and surge tanks are being prepped for waterproofing. Crews will also be installing the new pool lights and the Recreation Pool’s refinished water feature.

Pool plaster application is currently scheduled for June 28 and 29. During these dates, the boat launch parking lot will have limited access and reduced parking. While the pool is closed for construction, the City’s Facilities staff are taking advantage of this opportunity to perform a series of maintenance projects. Currently, they are refinishing the wood supports on the west side shade structure.
