Project Update May 13, 2024

Construction at the Aquatics Center continues to progress. The pools’ extensive tile work is ongoing. The new deck’s concrete reinforcing steel has been installed and concrete placement is underway. The project’s contractor is anticipating a total of seven days for concrete work. Two days of concrete work will occur Wednesday (May 15) and Friday (May 17). Additional concrete work is tentatively scheduled for May 21, 23, 28, 30, and June 6. During concrete construction residents should expect delays and detours around the project site. Additionally, there will be limited access and parking at the boat launch parking lot. Please note: the contractor has been permitted to start work at 5:00 am rather than 7:00 am on concrete days. The majority of the construction noise will be caused by the concrete trucks backing into place.
