Project Update: August 9, 2024

Construction continues on the Parker Pump Station project. Large excavation is taking place, and a new 48-inch storm drainpipe is being installed on the new trash rack structure. Crews have excavated the area to the west of the new storm drain wet well, in order to construct a valve vault structure. Utility installation has also started along Coronado Avenue. This work involves constructing new sewer and storm drainpipe and manholes.

The intersection closure at Coronado Avenue and Eighth Street remains in effect with an anticipated reopening in spring, 2025. This will allow the street work to be completed and will keep pedestrians and vehicles safe around the work zone.
