2024 Free Summer Shuttle Interior Ad Space
The City is offering interior advertising space on the popular Free Summer Shuttle buses to local businesses, organizations, and groups. The summer shuttle provides free rides to residents and visitors in Coronado from 9 am to 8 pm daily (15-minute intervals) from July 1 through September 2, 2024. Service will also be available on July 4 for Cays residents (*schedule different).
Four San Diego Metropolitan Transit System buses will run along the existing Route 904 around the downtown Village area of Coronado. Residents, guests, and local business operators can see the Free Summer Shuttle buses along the bus route from the Shores and Coronado City Hall to the Ferry Landing and Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa.
Shuttle Interior Ad Space
Interior advertising space is available on the four Summer Shuttle buses to local businesses and organizations from July 1 through September 2, 2024.
The ads are highly visible and seen by an estimated 1,000 riders per day. The interior ads are an effective way to reach visitors and Coronado residents.
Ads may promote Coronado tourism and the community, and can include services, products and events that appeal to residents and visitors, e.g. special events, local history and culture, local art and artists, and offerings from local businesses and retail stores where visitors can shop.
Ads are displayed for a minimum of FIVE or TEN weeks. Ads must comply with the stated goals of the Coronado Summer Shuttle program and Metropolitan Transit System ad regulations.
Advertisers can reserve a maximum of 12 ads, or one ad per bus per month for the full Summer Shuttle program. Please submit a Coronado Shuttle Advertising order form and payment. The ad specifications and deadlines are listed on the Advertisement Spec flyer. Please note: Advertisers must provide all print ready artwork for ads by or before each deadline.

The Coronado Summer Shuttle is operated by MTS and the program is funded by the City of Coronado and through a community partnership with Discover Coronado which underwrites the cost to design and installs the colorful exterior bus wrapping on the shuttle busses.
